Are you looking for something to do with the children this half term? There’s lots to do in Andover.


Tall Tales & Seasonal Stories: Ostara & The White Hare - Storytelling, Crafts & Egg Fun

A magical Easter adventure awaits! Children (ages 4+) and their parents will enjoy interactive storytelling from Amanda Kane-Smith of Merry-Go-Round Storytelling and hands-on crafts including the tradition of natural egg dying with Jolanta Rolt. The story we will be covering is Ostara and the white hare! Join us for two hours of fun, song, stories and crafts. A great way to kick off the Easter holidays and spend some time in the woods!

Parent attendance required. Games and refreshments included.

Cost: £10 per child with adult, £2 per additional sibling (please note if the adult would like to take part in the egg dying workshop, they will need to buy a ticket).

Easter Egg decorating with In Andover and Chapel Arts Studios

Free fun family event. Come along to the indoor garden in the Chantry Centre on Easter Monday and let your creative side loose by decorating an egg to take home.

All ages welcome. Materials provided.

Tall Tales & Seasonal Stories: Nature Detectives - Nature Exploring and Craft Workshop

Children (ages 4+) can explore nature up close in this interactive identification workshop. A perfect way to use your newly learnt detective skills and uncover all the clues about plants, wildlife, and the natural world. As part of our Tall Tales & Seasonal Stories events, we are back this Easter to provide some fun and magic to families across Hampshire. Join us for two hours of interactive storytelling, crafts, songs and fun!

Alice in Wonderland - a Pantomime from Hot Rock Productions

Panto time? Oh Yes It Is! Hot Rock Productions is excited to be bringing to The Lights a fun-filled family pantomime - Alice in Wonderland - featuring stunning scenery, colourful costumes, toe-tapping songs and bucket loads of laughter.

Date: Wednesday 8 April
Time: 2pm (approximate finish time is 4.30pm)

Teach Rex

The award-winning Teach Rex team are delighted to be bringing this unique, interactive show back to the families of Andover after performing several sold out shows at the Natural History Museum! Teach Rex uses life-like dinosaurs to perform their 1 hour show, teaching children about the anatomy and life of one the most mesmerising creatures that have ever roamed our planet. The show is teamed with effects, music and gives children and their families the chance to get up close and personal with these fantastic, realistic beasts.

Date: Thursday 9 April
Times: 10am, 12.30pm and 3pm (approximate show length is 90 minutes)
