Shaping the future of Vigo Park
We’re investing £3.5 million to transform Vigo Park with new facilities for families, park users and the wider community. Work is now under way to develop detailed designs for a new community pavilion/bowls clubhouse, a refreshment kiosk, water play attraction and secure public toilets.
We want to make sure these plans reflect what local people value most, and the facilities are accessible and inclusive for everyone.
Your feedback and input will help shape the final designs before a planning application is submitted later in the year.
Come along to one of our drop‑in sessions in the former O2 unit in The Chantry Centre to see the early ideas, ask questions and tell us what’s important to you. Drop-in times are:
Wednesday 11 March, 10am to 12pm and 3pm to 6pm
Saturday 14 March, 10am to 3pm
Saturday 28 March, 10am to 3pm
You don’t need to book, just drop in at a time that suits you.
What you’ve already told us
Key themes from previous consultations included:
increased and improved children’s facilities
a splash park or water play area
food and drink provision such as a cafe or kiosk
addition of toilet facilities
more seating and places to rest, meet and socialise
continued focus on cleanliness, maintenance and accessibility

A splash park was one of the strongest ideas to come from our community conversations.
We’re now exploring designs that feel welcoming, accessible and exciting for children and young people. This is your chance to help make sure the splash park feels fun, safe and uniquely Andover.

Vigo Pavilion - an improved facility for the community
We’re exploring a new pavilion that supports bowls and opens up fresh possibilities for the whole community. The building could become a welcoming hub for every day park users, families, activity groups and visitors - while still strengthening Vigo’s proud bowls tradition.
We want the pavilion to offer better facilities, more accessible toilets, space to socialise, and flexible rooms that can support a range of community uses now and in the future.
Your ideas will help us shape a pavilion that works for everyone who uses Vigo Park and your feedback will help ensure the new pavilion meets both current and future needs.
