Half term activities in Andover

Are you looking for something to do with the children this half term? There’s lots to do in Andover.

On Bank Holiday Monday, come and join in Anton Rotary’s Duck Races at Town Mills. With duck and model boat races as well as all sorts of games, this is a fun afternoon out.

Andover Museum are celebrating 200 years of passenger railway travel with a trail around the museum, drop in on Wednesday 28th May to make a model train and on Saturday 31st May you can join the local model railway club and help create a huge track in the main exhibition space.

If you enjoying building, there’s lego workshops with Brilliant Bricks at The Lights on Wednesday 28th May, at 10.30am you can go on an Underwater Adventure or at 1pm you can have a space adventure.

And if you want to get outdoors, why not make a trip to Andover Trees United? For younger children there’s a Gruffalo Trail on Tuesday 27th May with a story-themed walk through the "deep dark wood," spotting clues and characters from the beloved tale. After your adventure, get creative making your own Gruffalo crown or mouse ears. For ages 7 – 11 on Thursday 29th May there is Freshwater Adventures, discovering pond life through a hands-on Pond Dip, catching creatures like newts and water boatmen, then sculpting clay animals inspired by your discoveries.

There’s more crafts with Chapel Arts Studios’ Artful Play on Saturday 31st May and Fantastical Fairytales at Andover Library on Thursday 29th May.
